My friend re-finished this tank and is selling it on ebay if anyone is interested. I took the pictures. It came out pretty nice!

Yea, we're getting pretty good at restoring the plastics. I've been working pretty hard on fender restoration. It's not easy, but I'm getting some good results and may start seeing about doing more OEM plastics restoration.

Mostly a lot of hard work, really. We've been through quite a bit of trial and error, but the general task is time carefully spent with various grits. The challenge is realizing when you're done with a certain grit in all areas so you don't wind up with scratches down the road and wind up having to start over. The fenders are a different plastic than the tank, softer I think, our guess is because the tank is designed to hold gas and oil.
