1982 atc250r resto- missing a CDI. Are the later model 250r cdi's compatible with my old air cooled? I have been restoring mine and unfortunately realized that i'm missing a cdi module. That missing part is a show stopper as it's almost ready to test fire. Any help would be appreciated!!

I looked at the parts fiche and the CDI's are definitely different. The TRX has two plugs and the early ATC's have one.

However! There are like 4 of those things for sale in ebay right now. I used this search criteria: (ATC250*, 250R) CDI

Here is one of the cheaper options:

Great thanks, my buddy is trying to find one for me on Ebay. Though someone else told me that they're the same for the atc200's???

They look similar to the 200x, but a 4stroke and a 2stroke CDI shouldn't be the same map. I think that would be unlikely.

I agree, best not to take the chance of wrecking something. I'm going to try and get one from Ebay. The 250R is a rare machine here in Atlantic Canada.

It seems like the earlier ATC has parts on ebay quite bit... Just my observation..
