On my current project, I am really disappointed with the frazzled look of my OEM rear brake reservoir connection hose... And was amazed to find the OEM part costs over $22!

What else is everyone using? Are there any suitable alternatives?

There is no pressure on the hose, but I'm concerned about the fluid attacking the hose material.
In my research, I have found that common fuel line can be dissolved by brake fluid, turning the fluid black and "chunky." Nylon (clear and tinted) hoses become brittle and will over time fail and Polyethylene hoses can have a variety of reactions.

On Volkswagens, Jaguars and other European vehicles with remote brake reservoirs, it is common to use air compressor hose, but I have never heard of anyone using it for ATV use.

Any Suggestions?

Not any great suggestions from me on this one. I'm using the OEM line still in that no pressure area. It frazzles on the end, but if it got bad enough I'd probably trim it with a razor. Taking a green scrub pad like on a sponge does miracles for water hoses too. Give that a shot.

ya that brake fluid is nasty stuff,if it sits long enough it will seize up your calipers as well as rot your line's.I'm just running the oem as well. fortunately it is in good condition!
