Open air filter bracket - for NO reedspacer larger carbs:
Most 250cc and up TRX's are running with 36mm + carburetors typically mounted to a CR style inlet boot. When we make this necessary improvement, we find that we need to make an unecessary adjustment to the crankcase volume, increasing it by 50cc's via adding a reed spacer simply to make the intake mount up. If you run a baseplate for the 86 style piston, add another 40cc's. If this decrease in crankcase volume you incurred from bolting on a CR manifold for the bigger carbs is not part of your design, you should consider bolting this bracket on.

This bracket mounts to the stock airbox mounting tabs using the existing rubber bushing. The reservoir mounts to the bracket as well. The tract mounting tube is 1/2" longer on the engine side allowing the tract to move forward eliminating the need for the reed spacer, leaving behind the unneeded decrease in crankcase compression ratio - and the need for the extra gasket as an added bonus!
